SUV tyres carry more weight than car tyres, so load index matters more here. Highway-terrain (HT) tyres such as the Matrax Domec and Veragua SV and the Sumitomo Encounter HT2 are for SUVs and pickups that stay on tar roads, and they’re quieter. All-terrain (A/T) tyres such as the Dunlop Grandtrek AT22 and AT25 and the Matrax Veragua A/T have a chunkier tread for gravel, mud and estate roads.
